A large 3 acre property, this project was a full site landscape design for a young couple desiring an engaging play space for their family that also integrated the property with the neighboring nature preserve.
The site condition when we inherited the project was a contemporary wood-sided home in process of being consumed by invasive buckthorn. Extensive buckthorn removals opened up the landscape for redevelopment into various native habitats: woodland, savannah, streams, and a pond to aide in the critical Stormwater management plan of the site. We used clean line styling with rustic elements to complement the modern architecture and blend the natural landscape with the pool and play spaces for the young family to enjoy for years to come. Our success with this property was recognized by Garden Design Magazine with a Golden Trowel Award.
